Voice coaching / mentoring

/WHO IS CHRISTINA DAOUS/

About me

I didn’t start out planning to build a voiceover business.

For years, I worked did voice jobs occasionally alongside other work. A commercial here, a narration there. I enjoyed it, and I knew I was good at it, but it never quite felt structured. Work came in waves. Sometimes I was busy. Sometimes I was waiting.

I remember thinking: there must be a clearer way to do this. I knew I had the basics but I didn’t know how to scale or I didn’t know what clients really expected. I didn’t realize there’s a business and a whole industry in voice work.

I asked around locally and picked up more projects over time, mostly in Finnish and Estonian. But it still felt like guesswork. Pricing felt uncertain. Marketing felt unclear. I didn’t really know what was possible or what was realistic in our market.

Then I came across an international voiceover community online. For the first time, I saw people treating voiceover as a proper business: tracking income, setting rates deliberately, building client relationships, thinking long-term. That perspective changed a lot for me. There were standards, an industry specific vocabulary, conferences and so much more that I anticipated.

I decided to invest in coaching.

It wasn’t dramatic or overnight. It was practical. Step by step, week by week, I learned how to structure my services, communicate my value clearly, establish a standard of working, and build direct client relationships instead of relying on chance.

Today, I run a steady five-figure voiceover business, earning roughly €20,000–€45,000 per year, primarily in the Finnish and Estonian markets. My costs are low. My setup is simple. And the work fits my life.

It’s not about becoming famous or chasing constant growth. It’s about building something sustainable and clear.

Along the way, I made mistakes, mostly around underpricing, unclear usage agreements, and trying to manage everything alone for too long. Those experiences are exactly why I now offer mentoring.

If you’re interested in voiceover but feel unsure where to start or if you’re already working but want more structure and predictability, I can help you approach it in a practical, realistic way.

Not with hype.

Not with promises of overnight success.

But with clarity, structure, and a perspective grounded in the Nordic market.

Voiceover can be a meaningful side income. It can also become a solid main profession. The key is understanding both the creative and the business side and making decisions intentionally.

Coaching was a game-changer for me and maybe it could be for you too.

I work with a limited number of mentoring clients at a time to ensure personal attention. Please answer thoughtfully — this helps me prepare properly for our conversation.

Frequently Asked Questions

This mentoring is for people who are curious about voiceover and want a clearer, more structured way to approach it.

You might be completely new and wondering where to start. Or you may already have done a few projects but feel that things are inconsistent or unclear, especially around pricing, finding clients, or building something more stable.

It is suitable both if you want to build voiceover as a side income alongside other work, or if you are considering developing it into a more regular or full-time profession. The focus is on building something realistic and sustainable, at a pace that fits your life.

No, previous experience is not required.

We can start from the beginning and go through the practical foundations: how the industry works, what kind of setup you need, how to approach clients, and how to price your work.

What matters more than experience is willingness to treat this as a professional activity and to take consistent steps forward.

The mentoring is primarily grounded in the Finnish and Estonian markets, as this is where I have built my own business and experience.

However, many of the principles such as pricing structure, client communication, positioning, and business mindset apply more broadly. If you are working in another market, we can still apply the same structured approach while considering local differences.

Individual mentoring sessions are 60 € per session (60 minutes).

For those who want a more structured process or have specific goals in mind, we can create a tailored package based on your targets and timeline. The idea is to choose a structure that supports steady progress rather than one-off conversations without direction.

All details are discussed openly before we begin, so you know exactly what to expect.

The first step is filling in the inquiry form and booking an introduction call.

The purpose of the call is to understand your current situation, your goals, and whether mentoring would genuinely be useful for you at this stage. There is no obligation to continue.

If you are looking for quick promises or overnight results, this may not be the right fit. If you are looking for clarity, structure, and realistic guidance on how to build voiceover as part of your professional life, then it is likely a good match.
